Innovative AR Experiences for maximum fan engagement
The German national soccer team in AR
A special highlight of UEFA EURO 2020 is the DFB Team Experience, which we developed together with Volkswagen.With this experience, fans can bring players of the national soccer team into their own living room – without an app and without visiting a stadium! Within the web experience, users can choose between three different motifs and pose and take photos with five players each. Fans haven’t been this close to the players in a long time!

Virtual Trikot-Launch
There are at least three fan highlight moments in every soccer season: the first matchday, the final – and of course the release of the clubs’ new jerseys. A must for every die-hard fan! Together with 11Teamsports, the soccer and teamsports specialist and equipment partner of numerous Bundesliga clubs, we created something very special for the jersey releases of the 21/22 season: a virtual jersey launch that was used for the first time for the two partner clubs of the online retailer, SC Freiburg and SK Rapid Wien.






Virtual Trikot-Launch

Viessmann AR-Biathlon Mini Game
Our customer Viessmann is one of the most committed sponsors in winter sports and supports top athletes in all winter sports. For the 2020/21 season, we are providing a Biathlon WebAR application in which “winter fans” can compete against each other at the virtual shooting range. The aim of the game is to hit a biathlon target accurately in the best time. In addition, a virtual wind provides further challenges. At the end, the user can enter a high score.




Iconic EM Heroes Hairstyle Filter
To coincide with the European Championship, we’ve teamed up with Volkswagen to develop a unique Hairstyle Face filter that soccer fans can use to give themselves the most quirky and legendary hairstyles of former soccer stars. Who had the coolest mohawk, rasta or mullet style? Users put on their hairstyle via the selfie camera and can then share the photos with their friends on social media – this is how fan engagement works in 2021!

Together with Emmi Caffè Latte, the main sponsor of the Swiss beach volleyball top team Hüberli-Betschart, we have come up with something very special: In an Instagram filter, fans can compete against Tanja Hüberli and Nina Beschart and have to beat them in a game of beach volleyball. If the fans survive several rounds, they win the match and are rewarded with a winner’s medal and an opportunity to participate in a prize draw!

Together with Volkswagen, we have developed a web-based AR Experience that allows fans to place this year’s European Cup as a 3D model in their environment. This conjures up a very personal EM moment where fans can admire the detailed trophy up close. Fans can also already take creative photos and use them as an oracle to reveal which nation will win the trophy this year. Afterwards, their impressions and photos can be shared directly on social media.

Indeed: Virtual autograph card Eintracht Frankfurt
Fans want to be very close to their idols. An autograph card is the proof and a coveted trophy for a personal meeting with the star. This is granted to only a few fans and personal meetings have become rare since COVID-19. For Indeed as the main sponsor of Eintracht Frankfurt, we have developed a tool that brings the stars to their fans – as virtual avatars. There, they leave a message and pose for a photo with their fans. The result: an individual autograph card of the star for and with the fan. Safe, simple, inspiring!

Bayer 04 Leverkusen AR Trikot Launch
Here we supported the launch of the new jersey with an AR campaign. The target group was activated via social media. In the experience, fans could then meet the players virtually, wearing the new jersey of course, and take a photo. Those who wanted to were guided through a chatbot-like dialog to a coupon and directly to the online store to order the jersey. On average, users spent almost two minutes on the experience.

Indeed: Cheer with Charly
For Indeed we created several activating AR Experiences that were used as part of their main sponsorship with Eintracht Frankfurt. With the popular mascot “Charly”, fans have the opportunity to take their own personal photo with Charly in their environment – and only after they have successfully scanned the Indeed logo via Logo Tracker. After the first two days, more than 10,000 fans have already used the filter and generated inspiring user-generated content under #CharlyMoments.

Experiencing EM mascot “Skillzy” in AR
As the main sponsor of the German national soccer team and official mobility partner of the UEFA EURO 2020 in Germany, Volkswagen has teamed up with us to develop an interactive web-based AR experience in which fans can pose with this year’s EURO mascot “Skillzy” – all without visiting the EURO fan zones and stadiums. In the Experience, users can place “Skillzy” as a 2D avatar in their environment and then decide between taking a selfie or a photo via the rear camera and capture a very personal moment. And fans can let off full creative steam: With three different motifs, “Skillzy” brings a lot of variety into the game!

Emmi AR Experience with Wendy Holdener
In November 2020, the Swiss Emmi Group will launch a very special campaign: the current focus product “Emmi CAFFÈ LATTE” will feature a QR code leading to one of our AR experiences during the campaign period until March 2021. Customers in Switzerland will be able to scan the code and, following a chatbot-based dialog, take AR photos with world champion skier and Olympic champion Wendy Holdener. Finally, there’s a video greeting.

Jogi Löw AR Experience for VW
For Volkswagen, we developed an AR application, thanks to which you can “meet” the German national soccer coach and take a joint souvenir photo with him. In addition to being used at various corporate events, the application was also made available to fans in 2019 in the fan zones at the international matches of the German national team.

AR Trophy Filter Porsche European Open
As part of the Porsche European Open, we developed an Instagram filter so fans of the international golf tournament can follow along and celebrate from home. By using the filter, users have the opportunity to place the 3D trophy in their environment while admiring its high level of detail. After placing the trophy, fans can also trigger a confetti effect.
